Utah Cardiology – in conjunction with – Alpine Research is conducting the following studies:

Esperion (Statin Intolerance) Study »

  • Inability to tolerate 2 or more statins
  • Fasting LDL ≥ 100 and ≤ 190
  • Coronary Artery Disease, PAD, or at a high risk for a cardiovascular event

Compensation: $50/per visit

Cardiovascular Inflammatory Reduction Study »

  • Prior Heart Attack or Stent in 2 arteries, or > 60% blockage in 1 artery, or Type 2 Diabetes
  • Normal kidney and liver function
  • No history of cancer

Compensation: $20/per visit

KOWA (Triglycerides Study) »

  • Fasting Triglycerides ≥ 200 and ≤ 500
  • HDL ≤ 40
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Age ≥ 50 if male, and ≥ 55 if female

Compensation: $50/per visit

Low HDL Cholesterol Study »

  • Prior Heart Attack in the past 4-12 weeks
  • > 45 years old

Compensation: $50/per visit

Amgen Heart Failure Trial »

  • Male or Female ≥ 18 to ≤ 85
  • History of chronic Heart Failure
  • Ejection Fraction ≤ 35% per subject’s most recent medical record
  • Heart Failure class II to IV

Compensation: $50/per visit

AstraZeneca (Heart Failure) Trial »

  • Heart Failure class II or IV
  • Ejection Fraction ≤ 40%

Compensation: $50/per visit
